Warmly welcome to attend the 3rd International Symposium on Thermal-Fluid Dynamics (ISTFD2022). Following the great success of ISTFD2019 held in Xi’an, China and ISTFD2021 held in Beijing, China, ISTFD2022 will be held in Xi’an on 27-31 July, 2022.

ISTFD aims to become one of the leading annual international forums and to advance scientific knowledge and technology development of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics and relevant emerging, cutting-edge and interdisciplinary subjects.

Thermal-Fluid Dynamics is the fundamental to a wide range of engineering subjects such as energy, power, environment, energy saving and storage, renewable energy, aerospace, astronautics, combined heating, cooling and power technology, nuclear energy, hydrogen energy, automotive, mechanical engineering, emerging and interdisciplinary subjects such as zero carbon technologies, micro- and nano-fluidics, advanced thermal processes and others. It plays a key role in the development and breakthrough of scientific theories, innovative technologies and revolution of industry and human society systems.

The goal of ISTFD2022 is to gather scientists, researchers and industrial engineers from all over the world to present the latest research results, theoretical and modelling development, experimental methodology, practical design and industrial applications in the field of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics. It will not only provide an excellent platform to share new research findings and ideas, but also to promote extensive research collaboration and extend social networking.

The symposium will be held at the Western China Science &Technology Innovation Harbor at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. As a wisdom Uni-Town, the Innovation Harbor aims to achieve the national science and technology development missions, establish a world class science and education center and provide a top scientific and technological innovation platform. It consists of 8 major research platforms, 25 institutes and more than 100 scientific research laboratories to contribute to the scientific research and technology development in China.

ISTFD-2022 will be held in conjunction with the 1st World Conference on Multiphase Transportation, Conversion & Utilization of Energy (MTCUE-2022). One registration is valid for both conferences. A joint opening ceremony will be held for the two conferences on the morning of 27 July 2022, and after then the two conferences will be held independently.
